Flag Project

The flag project is one of the Civic Associations newest projects and was started in 2017. It was a long time dream of former Civic Association President, Ann Marie Ricci, to see April Sound Boulevard, and our front entry sign, displaying flags on nationally recognized holidays. A committee was formed to investigate how best to achieve this goal.

After much research, areas were chosen that offered the best visual impact without obscuring traffic visibility.  10 flags were purchased and two volunteers designed and installed the necessary in-ground supports.

These flags are now proudly displayed each recognized flag holiday and are enjoyed by our residents. Volunteers ensure they are put out early, and respectfully collected before sun down.

The Civic Association hopes to build on this project and highlight other areas of April Sound that could also enjoy our flags.
